Among all the capacities that Facebook offers one is as of now missing: the capacity to delete all messages in a single killer blow. There is not, and presumably will never be, a catch that permits a delete all discussions in a visit with friends, all messages gained, and all messages accepted on Facebook.
On this blog I pointed out long ago, a Chrome and Firefox extension that allowed you to delete all messages with a click. Unfortunately, that extension has not been updated since the recent changes to Facebook and has stopped working.
At that point how are we fit to delete all messages? For weeks it appears that the main option has been to delete all the discussions one by one, which obliges a ton of understanding and time.
Today, fortunately, we found a new method that allows you to clean up your messages pageby deleting all conversations with one click.
How to delete all messages in one fell swoop
This new method is not an extension, not a software, or a hidden function of Facebook.
It’s a script that you can run from the main browser (see the guide), in one click.
Caution
The script erases ALL messages and conversations in one fell swoop. All Deleted messages cannot be recovered. Follow the guide only if you are absolutely sure you want to delete everything.
Help and Instructions
- If you use Google Chrome drag the bookmarklet (link below) on the bookmarks bar of your browser (you do not see the bar? use the Ctrl + Shift + B).
- If you’re using Firefox use this guide to learn how to show or hide the bookmarks bar and drag the bookmarklet (the “bookmark this” link below) on the bar.

- Now visit your message page on Facebook: CLICK HERE
- Now click on the bookmarklet you dragged to your browser before. Within seconds the script will delete all the messages and conversations on the page.
Caution
The script deletes ALL messages and conversations in one click. All Deleted messages can not be recovered. Use this script only if you are 100% sure you want to permanently delete all messages!
